How to: Line up bottoms of columns evenly.
Solution:
Position the insertion point after the text to be balanced in columns and insert a continuous section break.
1) Position the insertion point at the end of the text to be displayed in balanced columns.
2) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Break...'. (The Break dialog box appears.)
3) Select the 'Continuous' radio button in the 'Section Break' group.
4) Click 'OK'.
NOTE: Any page breaks, or even or odd section breaks, must be inserted AFTER the continuous section break.
